Beau-Rivage Genève: An Icon of Elegance and History

Founded in 1865, the iconic Hotel Beau-Rivage in Geneva stands as a symbol of luxury and hospitality. Created by Jean-Jacques Mayer, the hotel is situated on the shores of Lake Geneva, offering stunning views of the famous water jet and the majestic Alps. Since its inception, the Beau-Rivage has been a haven for royalty and celebrities, including Empress Elisabeth of Austria (Sissi), the Duke of Windsor, Shakira, Elton John, Richard Branson, and Kofi Annan.

My experience at the Beau-Rivage was marked by sophistication and comfort. I stayed in one of the six penthouses, enjoying a panoramic view of Lake Geneva. The décor in shades of pink and blue added a cosy touch, while the chandelier in the living room provided an extra dose of glamour. The penthouse also included a private dining room for four, a powder room, an office, and a wooden staircase illuminated at night.

The bedroom was a true retreat, with an extremely comfortable bed and a remote-controlled skylight. The spacious closet and luxurious bathroom, featuring a relaxing bathtub, were perfect for unwinding after intense days of touring the city, organised by Geneva Tourism, which welcomed us warmly. Additionally, the private sauna in the penthouse is a rare luxury, making the stay even more special.

The breakfast experience at Beau-Rivage is equally remarkable, held in the hotel's restaurant, Chat Botte. The impeccable service, with staff attentive to every request, and the incredible range of options make this experience unforgettable. The breakfast is also open to non-guests, as is the restaurant. For more details about the Chat Botte restaurant, you can check the full article in the restaurant's feature.

The service at Beau-Rivage is impeccable, with room service and staff always attentive to the smallest details. The hotel is part of the Beau-Rivage Collection, which includes other luxury hotels in Lausanne and Paris, all renowned for their excellent service and personalised experiences.

I highly recommend a stay at the Beau-Rivage in Geneva. This hotel is undoubtedly one of the best in the city, offering an unparalleled combination of history, luxury, and first-class service. Staying at the Beau-Rivage is to experience the pinnacle of Swiss hospitality in a setting that masterfully combines tradition and modernity.
