Why London UAI?
The new London UAI blog has just been born. The initial idea is to tell a little about life and English customs and talk about fashion; of course, after all, most of the ideas and inspirations in the Fashion world are born here. To start everything well explained as a good miner likes it, I'll tell you the "Why" of the name UAI.
It is said that this well-known word UAI (Union, Love, Independence) emerged in Minas Gerais' inconfidência and was used by its members (mostly Freemasons) as a password to enter secret meetings.
The other and my favourite hypothesis for the so suggestive name was the installation of the British company Imperial Brazilian Mining Association that arrived in the land of cheese bread in 1824 and remained there for almost 30 years working in the exploration of gold and promoting cultural exchange between Minas Gerais and English, thus appearing the so famous IAU that has identical phonetics and very similar meaning. For this reason and others, they say that every reasonable person from Minas Gerais is born speaking at least three words in English: WHY, TRAIN, and SO.
