Paul Costelloe AW25: A Legacy of Elegance Reimagined
At London Fashion Week, Paul Costelloe once again proved why he remains one of the industry’s most revered designers. In a flawless showcase that honoured tradition while embracing modernity, the Autumn/Winter 2025 collection delivered a masterclass in aristocratic British elegance, reinvented for contemporary times.
A Setting Inspired by Equestrian Dressage
The setting, conceived by William Costelloe, the designer’s son and the brand’s design director, transported guests into the world of equestrian dressage. Inspired by the refined sophistication of traditional horse-riding competitions, the collection featured structured silhouettes, impeccably tailored outerwear, and a colour palette of earthy tones, deep greens, and the ever-classic black and white.
The Artistry Behind the Collection
William Costelloe’s expertise in textile design and painting is evident in the exclusive prints that adorned key pieces in the collection, adding a visual storytelling element to the designs. With a background in Fine Arts from Camberwell College of Arts and a Master’s from Chelsea College of Arts, his ability to merge art and fashion brings a distinctive edge to the Paul Costelloe brand.
Standout Pieces and Signature Craftsmanship
Standout pieces included impeccable tweed coats, evoking the elegance of British gentlemen, while voluminous skirts, structured jackets, and statement accessories offered a contemporary take on classic styles.
The play of textures and layering created depth, balancing heavier fabrics with soft, feminine details.
A Master of Storytelling Through Fabric
Paul Costelloe continues to prove that his timeless signature never ceases to captivate. The AW25 collection masterfully balances tradition and innovation, reaffirming the designer as a storyteller through fabric. From royalty to fashion icons and design enthusiasts, the Irish master remains at the forefront, dressing generations with sophistication and boldness.
