Durazzi Milano - SS/25 Sounds Sculptures

The Durazzi Milano SS2025 collection, is a profound exploration of metamorphosis and femininity through symbolic ice. Only ice seems capable of blocking the fluid, changing and immersive dimension of water - representing the shift between solid, liquid, and gas. Serves as a means to liberate forms from a static state into transformative beauty. 

The presentation was set within an artist’s workshop, the presentation evokes primal scenes of frozen female forms gradually melting, embodying nature’s regenerative cycles.

An extremely high level of tailoring, aesthetics that are associated with the equestrian world and horse riding. It also celebrates imperfection, the unfinished, rediscovering the DIY culture and the aesthetics of the objet trouvé, with jackets customised with metallic medals, hand-painted garments, macramé net trousers and skirts.

The collection is philosophical, meditating on evolution and the essence of life by staging garments as relics of a future memory. Through the symbolic thawing of ice, Durazzi invites viewers to reconsider perception, transcending the surface to appreciate deeper origins—where fabric becomes a tool for reimagining existence itself. 

While the ice continues to melt grabbing people's attention by the details there emerges the attempt to understand the essence of things, to go beyond appearances, to understand how different forms of intelligent life, are all part of the same evolutionary algorithm.

The answer may lie in the ice, in the freezing of the origin of things in whiteness as dazzling as the stars whose light is just a reflection of the past, but is still a guide for someone else's future.
