Makeup Looks that Shone at Paris Fashion Week
Fashion month has come to an end, concluding in grand style in Paris, after busy weeks in New York, London, and Milan. Each of these cities brought stunning beauty moments, setting the makeup trends for Spring/Summer 2025.
The runways were dominated by terracotta-toned blushes, slightly tousled 1970s-inspired hairstyles, and soft lavender touches under the eyes. The grunge rocker-chic style also took the spotlight, with metallic hairbands, deep-toned lipsticks, and smoky eyes in cool hues. Fun was front and centre, with colourful wigs, mod-style body dots, and ultra-long straight bangs stealing the show.
As always, Paris took beauty trends to new heights, with its unmistakable glamour and extravagant hairstyles that closed out fashion month in style. Highlights included bold metallic cat-eye liners, daring bangs, coloured lashes, and more.
Renowned for its artistic silhouettes and high-fashion aesthetic, Mugler made a strong statement with the models’ hairstyles as well. They strutted down the runway with bangs covering their faces, reminiscent of the curtain fringe style pulled back, featuring precise V-cuts that highlighted the nose. Sitting front row as the brand’s special guest, Cardi B sported the same hairstyle as the models, amplifying the trend.
Casablanca drew heavy inspiration from 90s makeup trends, opting for lips lined with dark chocolate tones and eyes enhanced with cool grey shadows. Thin, well-defined eyebrows also made a comeback, evoking a nostalgic feel for the decade.
At Schiaparelli, the minimalist look was reinvented with a high-fashion twist, showcasing a deconstructed version of the classic ballerina bun. The makeup focused on flawless, natural-looking skin, reinforcing the “effortless beauty” trend on the runways.
L’Oréal Paris celebrated beauty diversity by featuring several celebrities as models for its show. Glamour was present in every detail, with a special focus on bold red lips. The skin, as usual, was meticulously crafted, featuring a luminous, natural finish. Celebrities such as Kendall Jenner, Anitta, Taís Araújo, Camila Cabello, and Viola Davis brought a star-studded touch to the event.
At Rabanne, glamour translated into minimalist makeup, with softly peach-toned eyelids, finished with a clear gloss for a glossy, glassy effect. The healthy glow makeup look is one of the key trends for Spring/Summer 2025.
Futuristic Silver Eye Details was the theme chosen by Loewe, which embraced a futuristic approach to beauty. Models walked the runway with striking silver cat-eye liners, creating an almost otherworldly atmosphere. While natural makeup reigned supreme this season, Loewe stood out by embracing intense sparkle on the models’ eyes.
For Loewe’s Spring/Summer show, legendary makeup artist Pat McGrath was the creative force behind the vibrant looks. She designed two key styles: the first featured a glittering golden arch that extended beyond the eyebrows, while the second showcased a silver graphic liner traced above the eyelid and elongated at the outer corners.
