Minas Trend reveals bets and trends for Brazil's spring/summer 2026

From 8 to 10 April, Belo Horizonte hosted the 33rd edition of Minas Trend - and Brazil's creative heart beat faster. Held at BH Shopping, the event generated more than R$30 million in sales and reaffirmed its position as the country's leading fashion trade show.

With the provocative theme "Look. Look again.", the edition invited the public to rethink the way they see, consume and produce fashion. With this edition, Minas Trend consolidates itself as a creative radar and a strategic bridge between brands and shopkeepers looking for innovation with identity.

With 151 exhibiting brands, the event reflected the diversity and plurality of Brazilian fashion, ranging from womenswear and beachwear to handbags, footwear, jewellery, lingerie, children's fashion, sleepwear and, for the first time, menswear. A faithful portrait of Brazil's creative versatility.

Handbags with a Brazilian soul

The bets for spring/summer 2026 point to a more natural and essential aesthetic. Shades of brown and olive green dominated the handbag collections, in contrast to the season's vibrant classics. The message? Less excess, more depth.

Nannacay, known for its work with artisan communities, presented straw bags with olive green details, combining rusticity and sophistication. Garzon Bags brought structured models in reddish brown leather with studs - a fusion between the tropical climate and urban energy.

Brazil's handmade

Among the highlights of this year's edition, Brazilian designer fashion shone brightly. In times of excess and mass production, designers are looking inwards - to their roots, narratives and processes - and creating collections that combine sophistication, sustainability and affection.

One of the most talked about names was Cleo Schanen, just 20 years old, who presented her "Perfectly Imperfect" collection: 16 looks that move between classic tailoring, gothic aesthetics and hand-finishing. Embroidery, overlays and organic cotton combine to create a sensory fashion that does wear - but also provokes.

Alongside São Paulo Fashion Week, Minas Trend occupies a unique place in Brazil's fashion calendar. In a global market that seeks purpose and originality, Minas Gerais fashion shows that it is ready to propose new paths - with soul, technique and tradition.
