Marina Hoermanseder’s 10th Anniversary Fashion Show in Collaboration with LEGO® Botanicals

French-Austrian designer Marina Hoermanseder, based in Berlin and renowned for her avant-garde designs featuring leather straps and signature buckle elements, celebrated her label’s 10th anniversary during Berlin Fashion Week AW25 at the Hotel Oderberger. The event showcased the creative synergy between her brand and LEGO® Botanicals.

Upon arrival, guests were greeted with LEGO flower gifts, and the venue was adorned with large LEGO Botanicals arrangements, enhancing the celebratory atmosphere.

Both brands emphasize structure: Hoermanseder through her use of corsetry and architectural shapes, and LEGO with its modular, customizable designs. This collaboration celebrated creativity and imagination, blending Marina’s dramatic, sculptural approach with LEGO’s playful and colorful aesthetic.

Models donned garments incorporating LEGO elements in various forms, including dresses, jackets, a 3D red rose bodysuit—versatile enough to pair with denim—and corsets featuring LEGO pieces woven into the fabric, creating a fusion of textures and bold 3D silhouettes.

Four standout looks included:

1. A sculptural dress entirely constructed from LEGO blocks and botanical flowers.

2. A floral jacket.

3. A blue top with voluminous sleeves paired with underwear adorned with LEGO botanical flowers.

4. A white dress embellished with botanical flowers.

Additionally, designs featuring leather straps and buckles—hallmarks of Marina’s aesthetic—were prominently showcased, reinforcing the brand’s distinctive identity.

This innovative fusion of high fashion and LEGO elements resulted in edgy yet joyful ensembles, challenging conventional expectations. The collection explored the concept of building—not only in the literal sense with LEGO pieces but also in constructing identity, strength, and femininity through fashion.

Reflecting on the collaboration, Marina stated: “The partnership with LEGO GmbH enables us to combine fashion and playful creativity in a unique way. LEGO sets inspire not only children but also us designers to keep trying new things and turning dreams into reality.”

Together, the brands elevated Berlin Fashion Week with an unforgettable show that transcended traditional clothing—it was a holistic experience likely to be remembered throughout Marina’s career.
