Honouring Motherhood: A Culinary Celebration at The Ivy

Motherhood is a journey woven with threads of unconditional love, sacrifice, and profound joy. As both a daughter and a mother, I cherish the moments that allow me to honour the woman who gave me life and to celebrate the privilege of nurturing my own children. This Mother’s Day, The Ivy Collection offers an exquisite opportunity to commemorate this special bond with a thoughtfully curated dining experience.

From 28th to 30th March 2025, The Ivy presents a specially designed two or three-course set menu, showcasing the vibrant flavours of spring. The culinary journey begins with an array of enticing starters, including the indulgent French Onion Soup, adorned with gratinated cheese croutons and fresh parsley, and the renowned Classic Crispy Duck Salad, complemented by roasted cashew nuts and sesame. A new addition to the menu is the elegantly crafted Crab and Avocado Tian, featuring dressed crab paired with avocado, sliced radish, tomato, coriander, and a delicate spinach crispbread.

For the main course, guests can savour dishes inspired by global cuisines, such as the Chargrilled Halloumi with Harissa Grains, accompanied by red peppers, courgettes, red chilli, pine nuts, and micro salad cress drizzled with herb dressing. The Fillet of Sea Bass with Smoked Aubergine, served alongside asparagus and a tomato and sherry dressing, offers a harmonious blend of textures and tastes. Additionally, the Korean Glazed Chicken, presented with an avocado and jalapeño sauce, citrus mayonnaise, sesame, and pickled mooli, promises a delightful fusion of flavours.

To conclude the meal on a sweet note, The Ivy’s executive chefs have crafted the exclusive Raspberry Bloom Parfait for Mother’s Day. This delicate dessert features Chantilly cream and vanilla sponge artfully arranged in a floral formation, adorned with edible flowers, embodying both beauty and indulgence. Classic favourites like The Ivy Chocolate Bombe and Crème Brûlée are also available for those seeking traditional delights.

Enhancing the dining experience, The Ivy introduces two floral-inspired cocktails. The Strawberry and Rose Royale combines Tanqueray gin with Aperol, strawberry purée, and rose syrup, topped with chilled Champagne and a spritz of citrus essence, offering a refreshing and celebratory sip. For a non-alcoholic alternative, the Wild Rose features Tanqueray 0% and chilled Wild Idol Naturally Sparkling Wine, providing an equally delightful option.

As a token of appreciation, guests dining on the Mother’s Day set menu will receive a bouquet of tulips, symbolising gratitude and affection. For those unable to visit The Ivy in person, the online store offers a selection of gifts, including The Ivy’s exclusive range of wines and gift vouchers, allowing the essence of The Ivy experience to be shared with loved ones at a later date.

As a devoted patron of The Ivy, I can attest to the establishment’s unwavering commitment to excellence, elegance, and culinary artistry. Celebrating Mother’s Day within its refined ambiance not only honours the remarkable women in our lives but also creates cherished memories that linger long after the final course.
